the lost wallet part 1

It’s been a while since I updated my blog and the indiblogger stats were getting low and that has enforced me to take up blogging once again. Well I would consider one more reason for this post that is the inspiration for this blog it has been that eventful day FRIDAY 26th of February

Well this started off as any other day it was a bright morning of early springs and I had just begun to spring out of my bed than just lazing out of it. A bright Friday morning it was and I had another one of those internal exams so I slipped on my crumpled clothes and as the mornings still had that chill in them for me to take a bath I rushed to college and was let to take the exam after some persuasion although it is not the exam but the attendance that matters and by the by I wrote all that I wanted in the paper and was done in about an hour. After the exam I was free for the rest of the day and just then a few of my college buddies came up and just dragged me out to the parking lot as being the lazy fellow that I am I was reluctant this time too; but any how I was made to drive all the way to a Go- Carting course “go carting ja rahe hain” was what Karam said. They know me too well and never ask.  Anyways after a 15km drive through the dusty roads of Faridabad we reached the place and had a nice time at Go- Carting it was around 2 in the noon when we headed back being the holi weekend ahead I was a bit dejected that I had not got a sufficient holiday window to head back home for the festivities. So I was a bit dejected as I headed back home while on the way Karam who was my pillion rider received a call from Shalini a classmate of ours who told that Saturday is a holiday. ‘Yes that was what I needed’ I thought to myself. The holiday window was now open enough for me to slip through a quick visit to my mother. Overjoyed by the news I sped back through the dusty roads which seemed rather less dusty and the potholes seemed to evaporate in the hot spring sun. I got home and was packing hastily and in the haste I broke out of my annual hydrophobia which lasts the winters and took a cold water bath it was not until then that I realised that the winters were not completely over and water still had that biting chill in it, but it was too late to realise as I was naked and had already poured a mug of water on my body and half my body was chilling under the sting of the cold water while the rest of the body got shrunk and waited it’s prosecution. After all this and the pains that my body had gone through in taking the first cold water bath of the winter I was refreshed and once again stood ready to go, I checked my wallet once again and locked the house and soon I found myself again riding on the dusty roads of Faridabad towards my brother’s house I had to make a rendezvous with him before I left. After a quick meet I left for the bus stop a light bag hanging from my shoulder. I don’t know wither the sun was set or not but it seemed that it too had left early and only a few lazy rays lighted the day it gave a rusty look. I didn’t have to wait much for the bus and it was that dusty yellow DTC bus which I boarded and took out my wallet it had two hundred rupees bills. I took one out and bought the ticket. I received some change and 50 rupees back I put the fifty rupees back in my wallet and shoved the rest of the change in my pocket and went about to find an empty space to set my foot in. it was not till the Delhi border that I got hold of a seat and after the commotion created by alighting passengers was over I went over to check for my wallet and guess what it was not there.

The rest of the story will be continued in part two I hope you enjoyed reading so far and please do not forget to post your comments
